25th ANNIVERSARY PARTY

I've had a great opportunity to decorate a party for very special occasion - 25th Anniversary. As you know this Anniversary also called Siver Anniversary. So, I wanted to include silver in to my decor. There was a little problem, the place for the party had already beautiful golden/peach curtains. We decided to keep white as a main color for flowers and blend it with light peach to match everything in the room (light peach tablecloth, wall color and....curtains).

To include silver (for Silver Anniversary) I wrapped flute vases with fancy silver wire and  put a single orchid in small silver container inside each vase.

Silver touch was also used on the cake table: silver candle, small flower arrangements in silver vases and silver flower heart.

When job was done I looked around and I was pretty much satisfied with my work. Most importantly, my clients were very happy with my work. They had an amazing party and I hope they will be happily married for at list another 25 years!!

    HAPPY 25th ANNIVERSARY!!!

MODERN STYLE

I am not a big fan of modern style in anything. Can't say that I love modern art. Not embarrassed to say that I don't understand Picasso or Kandinsky. Not a huge fan of modern architecture or interior design. But I started to like modern style in flower arrangements more and more. I even tried my own....and I like it.
These two variations I made when I got this glass plate.

These arrangements are very good for any modern coffee table or any low stand in your contemporary decorated room. They look very cool and at the same time very sophisticated.

They're not very difficult to make and you don't need too many flowers. You just have to have right container and right flowers.  Like this one with fish bowl, stones, succulent and just three calla lilies.

My favorite one I made from leftovers of my big job.
I made it next day.....and left it for myself.

A LITTLE CREATIVITY

Since I'm in a flower business, I look at everything differently. I think how I can use objects around us for flower arrangements. I'm trying to be creative.

As soon as I saw this cup set in the store, I didn't have to think twice what flowers to use for it. They complete each other!
Here I used a napkin holder ...

....a martini glass.

I like to use fruits or vegetables in my flower arrangements:

Don't be afraid to use most unusual things, like pearl earrings,
a cake platter for "flower cake", even a jewelry holder.

FOR VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE!

In every stage of your life you have different people who are very special to you. For most of us the very first special people are your parents, or grandparents. Then, later in life, if you're lucky, your sibling, friend, teacher, spouse can be added to this list as well.

Your child is your only someone special within your whole life! It does not matter, how old your child is, she/he will always be your baby!

Some people are very fortunate to have many children, some people love their nieces and nephews, or grandchildren as their own.

Love your children unconditionally! Show them that you love them every day with words, hugs, kisses and...flowers!

Valentine's Day!

Every year on February 14th, people all around the world celebrate Valentine's Day by expressing their love to sweethearts, spouses and special ones.

Most popular Valentine's Day gifts exchanged between loved ones are cards, chocolates and of course FLOWERS.

It's become a tradition to give red roses as a symbol of love and passion. Color and type of the flowers are not personally important to me.  I feel it depends on what flowers, or colors of flowers, are your loved one's favorite.

Flowers are a wonderful way to show your love every day!!

*Do you know that according to Jewish tradition the 15th day of the month of Av – Tu B'Av (usually late August) is the festival of love?

                    BUNDLES OF JOY!

When people say that they are expecting a bundle of joy, everybody understands that they are talking about a newborn baby.

This is a very important event in your life, very special and amazing. So when I'm making flower arrangement for a newborn baby, I'm trying to make it very unique. It's the little things that make these arrangements so cute!

I always enjoy making these kinds of arrangements.

*Did you know that a baby is born every three seconds?

Roses,
                 roses,
                                    roses...

All flowers are beautiful!!

Flowers come in different colors, shapes and sizes, but they are all gorgeous in their own way.

Although, I think a rose is one of the most beautiful flowers.

It's almost impossible not to use roses in flower arrangements.

You can have an amazing bouquet made with thirty, forty or just a few roses.

You can make rose arrangements for any occasion.

So today I wanted to show some of my flower arrangements made only with roses.

* Did you know that there are over hundred species of roses?

Even though there is no more snow in New York, I'm still in the mood for white flowers.
Just recently I had the opportunity to make flower arrangements for a very special couple for their 60th Anniversary party in a russian restaurant.

They especially asked me to include chrysanthemums and calla lilies. I also added white orchids. I definitely wanted it to be beautiful and very special. As I already mentioned it was the 60th Anniversary, also known as a Diamond Anniversary, so I decorated tall vases with "diamonds."

The couple loved the arrangements, so did all the guests.

*Do you like them?
